Join us every Sunday 10am at the Joseph Stone for live worship and word!
We are a purpose-driven church. Our purpose is to win the lost, care for the flock, equip the saints to serve the family and honour God.
Word Of Faith Community Church was founded in 1999 in the suburb of Kensington, Cape Town by Robin Fisher, Vanessa Fisher, Trebor George, and Vanessa George, all graduates of Rhema Bible Training Centre based at Rhema Bible Church, Randburg under the leadership of Pastor Ray McCauley.
After a few months in the Fisher home, the church moved into the Kensington Inn. Finally, in 2002, the church was invited to establish itself and retain tenure as the resident church at the Joseph Stone Auditorium on Klipfontein Road in Athlone, under the auspice of the Eoan Group, where it remains to this day.
We believe that the Cell Church Structure, comprising of Cells, Congregations, and Celebrations, is the model closest to the New Testament Church as depicted in the Book of Acts.
It allows us to be models for our families (Jerusalem), our friends and neighbours (Judea), our communities (Samaria) and the whole city (the world).
The Cell Church structure allows us to care for the Body of Christ in an ordered and responsible way and to strategize together how to win our relatives, friends and ultimately, the world.
In order for us to reach this city, we have divided it alonge the lines of Substructures or main Municipalities. We firstly set aside a Prayer Co-ordinator for each Substructure. Then we plant a Cell Area Shepherd responsible for working with our Lord Jesus to build His Church in the Substructure. Area Shepherds are supported by the Ministry team and their work is to love, care for and nurture the Cell leaders who in turn love, care fore and nurture the members of the cell, who in turn love the lost into the Kingdom of God.
"Pray without ceasing."
1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV
